Excel was definitely the hardest for me since I knew so little of it. I was having trouble with A4-A6 but that was because I was also behind on my LabSim. After I caught up it was a lot easier. Also, I was having trouble with A5 because I use my work computer to do all my school work and some of the functions were not on my laptop so in order to complete A5 I had to go to school and use the updated version. I can’t update the computer myself because it has to be approved by my company and it requires IT info and password to do it. Anyways It was a fun and interesting way of learning even more, it was like homework and a special thanks to our professor for helping me with them.
5.6.2. Auto fill Options was my favorite from chapter five. It’s a time saver and it can easily be fixed for the cells that you want to keep the same from changing.
I used to use some excel at my last position but now since I got a promotion and got the position I wanted I’m not too sure if I’ll be using Excel as much, but I still have a lot to learn so maybe in the future I might. I just know that there’s a lot in Excel that I learned and most important part I passed my MO-210 Excel Certification Exam.
Being full-time at work and at school was not easy for me, I did the best I could and I felt like I could’ve done more but I was also in a position where I was trying to get my promotion as well. It was a lot of stress, not to mention the times I got sick, and poor sleep on certain days because I work graveyard and all my classes are in the morning. Bright side is that I made it through this semester and I got the position I’ve been wanting/waiting for over a year. For next semester I won’t try to do 4 classes because that was too much for me, if anything I’ll focus on 3 so I don’t get behind on anything and I can be ahead.☺
Excel is definitely the most challenging chapter for IS101 students. Autofill definitely makes life easier :-)
ReplyDeleteGood job on passing the MO-210 Excel certification exam, Getty!
Congratulations on getting the promotion you have been chasing for over a year ^_^
Congrats on passing the Excel exam and landing your promotion! I agree with you that Excel was tough, but I am happy we made it through. You faced a lot of obstacles, and it’s great that you stayed on track. Balancing work, school, and everything else life throws at you isn’t easy, but you pushed through and made it happen. Keep up the great work Geraldine, we’re almost at the finish line!
ReplyDeleteHi Geraldine, I had the same issues with my old laptop. LabSim seems to be very picky as well. I am glad you pushed through these obstacles and got it all done. I wish you luck in future endeavors! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, those A4-A6 are a bit complicated without the help of LabSim. It’s great that we have the resources to get the work done at school and shout out to the professor for helping you understand the assignments, because I know he helped clarify a few things with me as well when it came down to doing A6.
ReplyDeleteYes, using Excel is something I was not used to, but now I am a little more confident when having to use this program, and if I ever do get a job that requires me to use Excel, I am glad I have acquired the skills to not stumble.
First, congratulations on the promotion! I can tell you are an excellent employee and student. You were able to juggle a full-time job that required you to work overnight, and at the same time, you stayed committed to 4 classes. That’s no joke! I want to try 4 classes this upcoming fall semester but having 3 children and a household to look after, I can confidently say right now that not in my options.
Hi Getty!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making it through, it sounds like you really pushed through a lot! Respect for juggling work, school, and that crazy schedule. And big shoutout on passing the MO-210 and landing that promotion, man that’s huge! Wishing you a smoother next semester with fewer classes and more wins ahead!
Congrats on your promotion and passing the Excel exam that’s a huge win, especially with everything you had going on! It’s awesome how you pushed through the tech issues and busy schedule. Totally agree that 4 classes while working full-time is a lot good call on scaling back next semester. Wishing you the best moving forward!
ReplyDeleteHiii Getty! Phase two was quite hard, but making it our the other side is such a win, so I'm glad to hear you caught up! Life has a funny way of throwing the most random curveballs at the worst moments, so it sounds like you had some weird curveballs, but you made it out victorious, so kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteHey Getty, Excel required more attention and practice than Word or PowerPoint. Congratulations on passing the exam as well as your promotion!
ReplyDeleteHey Geraldine, I can't imagine working graveyard and having to go to school right after. Congrats on making it to the end and passing the Excel exam!! Good luck next semester!!
ReplyDeleteExcel definitely was quite a challenge. Like you, I had no real experience actually using the program apart from worksheets made by others. The good thing is you passed and now you get to use what you have learned.
ReplyDeleteHi Getty! Congratulations on your new promotion at work! I also juggled 4 classes and work full time so I know how much of a struggle it was. I wish you all the best in your new position!
ReplyDeleteHi Getty, I can totally relate. A4-A6 were super hard at first and took me to take a moment back and return to the assignment the next day. Especially with A5 which was way harder in my opinion. I'm glad you pulled through and passed it!
ReplyDeleteHi, great job on being promoted at work! They definitely got the right person for the job.

ReplyDeleteHey Geraldine,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blog post! It's impressive how you managed to juggle a full-time job, graveyard shifts, and four classes. Balancing all that while aiming for a promotion is insane!
Congratulations on passing the MO-210 Excel certification exam and securing the position you've been working toward for over a year! Your determination is truly inspiring.
It's great to hear that 5.6.2 Auto Fill Options was your favorite; it's a time-saver. Even if you don't use Excel as much in your new role, the skills you've acquired will undoubtedly come in handy in the future.
Wishing you continued success in your career and studies! ^-^
